After a two year break, 11th hour is back with a devastating new 12" from London’s Matt Chester. ‘Dune Decay’ kicks off, a melting sonic soundscape of huge, endlessly shifting melodies set to a overdriven beat and haunted vocals. ‘Hunter’ takes things deeper and tougher, swirling pads and delayed lead lines giving way to a thumping sub bass kick and rising pulses. On the flipside, ‘Desertification’ provides the most upfront dancefloor moment, a nasty P-funk groove setting up a searing organ solo and rough strings, whilst ‘Sub Saharan’ hits back with a gritty motor city electro jam featuring a driving, rocky groove and some downright nutty synths.
